Foster Family Fun Days

Foster care can feel very heavy at times, so Families 4 Families sponsors quarterly family fun days for families to get a break from some of the challenges for a few hours and just enjoy being together and being with other foster families who deal with similar issues. Some activities we've done in the past are trampoline parks, indoor and outdoor pool days, and the laser show at Stone Mountain.

Adoptive moms support group

Our adoptive mom's support group is for women who have adopted out of foster care. It's a place to continue to find community and seek advice from other women who've walked similar paths. Food is provided, but no CEU hours are offered. However, if you attend the group and have adopted through Families 4 Families, you can also contour to come o our Date Nights and other CEU events as space allows.

FAB 1017 kids groups

FAB is a group of foster, adopted, and biological students ages 10-17. We meet twice a year to discover our identity in Christ and that God has a plan and purpose for our life. It is open to all Families 4 Families foster and respite homes whether they have an active placement or not.

Date Night for parents

Families 4 Families offers monthly date nights for our foster families so that the parents can drop their foster and biological children off and have three to four hours to themselves for a date. We know that foster care can take the focus away from other things and we want to make sure our foster parents are still able to prioritize their marriage in the midst of foster care.

Once per quarter Families 4 Families offers an evening of fun activities for the foster and biological children of our foster families, Girls ages 5 through 18 can attend. CEU

Per state policy, all foster parents are required to earn 15 hours of continuing education per year in order to maintain their foster home license. At least 5 of these hours have to be earned in person. We offer monthly opportunities to earn CEU hours and strive to offer topics that will better equip our foster parents to do the challenging work of caring for children from hard places. We also usually offer childcare for these events. We want to make it as easy and convenient as possible for our families to earn the hours they need.
